We are looking for a developer that has a minimum of 3 years experience in the following programmes:
- VB.NET
- C#
- MS-SQL

Must be FLUENT in both Afrikaans/English.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE AND WORK OVERTIME due to our client base!

CTC Negotiable.

Our company is based in Doringkloof, Centurion.

We have clients that require work within a very short time span and sometimes after hours.

You need to be more precise. Saying CTC is negotiable is not of use if you can't afford R800k pa, but only a maximum of R500k

Am I the only one who finds that alarming?

It's a recipe for burnout IMO. I'm not prepared to be burnt out for a little bit more cash - even if I was looking for a job.

Sure it happens, we all need to push for deadlines sometimes, but if that has to be your primary recruiting criteria right off the bat I'd be worried about your planning strategies..

Yep, surely a company that often (often enough to warrant mentioning it when trying to recruit candidates) have to support clients after hours, would have staff working in shifts?

Let me guess; the overtime is also unpaid?

It depends how frequently it happens if its one or 2 nights a month then fair enough if its every week then its poor resource management.

That and you have to know the following "programmes": C#, VB.NET, MS-SQL

Those aren't programmes, those are programming languages. The programmes you'd be using is something like visual studio and ms sql management studio.

I'd say chances of that are 99.99%

Plus, if I had to guess, their CTC is probably only around R12k/month with no medical or pension

Do you really know what and who you are looking for.
I will work for you at the salary of 2 Million Rand /month. And determine my own CTC, what ever that may be.

Now that is a scarily low number. No wonder they didn't want to specify in the job ad

Dude, with those scary job specs, you can't go lower than R150k pm. Really, crazy amounts of overtime in a terribly unstructured company requires high levels of compensation. Don't undersell yourself.

I agree. Seems the candidate will be sleeping over alot. 150k+meals and an office with a shower.
