What will you do?
This java platform integrates a technology stack with several channels to consolidate communication through traditional cellular services (such as SMS) and mobile network capability (such as location awareness) with cutting-edge native application development.
They develop client-specific solutions for rapid deployment and iterative improvement. They also develop scalable multi-tenant solutions for their client-base with their own unique experience of mobile data management.
The combination of small project teams and fast release cycles mean that developers have to solve challenging problems whilst maintaining a good development velocity.
Their developers typically work on two to five new projects every year. Jobs remain challenging and generally interesting, but there is sufficient time for each project to uphold our zero-tolerance attitude towards poor software.
Developers that have proven their ability to consistently solve complex problems and work productively in their environment are given the opportunity to work in the team that develops their own development platform.

Matric (WITH MATHS) & Degree in Computer Science
1 – 2 years’ experience as a software developer in a small to medium sized enterprise is essential
Students who are busy with a master’s degree in information technology or computer science will be considered regardless of prior work experience
Programming work will be based on the domain specific language that forms part of their development platform. The syntax of this language has similarities to Java, C#, PHP, JavaScript and other derivatives of C. Developers with knowledge of any C-based language usually find it easy to learn the language. A good understanding of relational database design and the ability to use SQL is essential.
Do you know the SCRUM development methodology?
Do you estimate complexity with reasonable accuracy?
Can you identify and communicate technical risks?
Do you write code that follows well-known patterns and that is easy to maintain?
Can you work on other members’ code without rewriting most of it?
Do you take responsibility and ownership of your job?
