Not that difficult to understand, if you are born into a society or faith that believes itself to be the only true path towards the future and that everybody else is wrong, then taught and indoctrinated to hate everything else with your mind, body and soul, it becomes a way of life.
We have seen it before in the Hitler youth, the Red Gaurds, Pol Pots regime, and now we see it in a new generation.

I'm not anti us or anything like that but I've watched aircrash investigations & other documentaries on this, read us military & other independendent reports on this incident and it boggles the mind how they could have fscked up so badly. The immediate political aftermath was handled even worse. We all fsck up at times but it's all about how you handle it.
