We have an fantastic opportunity for a talented, motivated and responsible Development Team Lead to join an industry leading organisation.

Work in a multi-skilled l team at the heart of the organisations engineering process, working side-by-side with Architects, Product Managers, Systems Engineers, Developers and UX Designers to ensure a top class product is delivered to their customers, in a way that is scalable within the business. They are at their best when the whole team is collaborating to deliver the best software they can.

Duties:
  • Facilitate the design and development of high quality solutions in line with the department standards and strategy.
  • Pair and mentor other team members.
  • Work closely with UX, QA, Architects and Product Owners using Agile methodologies to help the team produce high quality software on a regular release schedule.
  • Co-ordinate with Architecture and Infrastructure teams to ensure internal systems and applications are designed in such a way that they can delivered efficiently and operate confidently in production.
  • Proactively monitor the performance, throughput and error logs, and promote a passionate DevOps culture.
  • Help organise and timebox spikes to research and validate technical approaches.
  • Proactively communicate, share and influence other teams with advances in technical capabilities.
  • The primary stack is C# and SQL Server, but the company also works with Python, Redis, AWS, Elastic Search, Docker, Kibana, Log Stash and Octopus Deploy.
Requirements

Core skills
  • Commercial experience developing applications in C#.
  • Experience working in an Agile development team.
  • Building HTTP+JSON APIs.
  • Developing with SQL Server, and ORMS.
  • TDD and/or Unit Testing.
Desirable (not have to have)
  • Line management experience.
  • Python development experience.
  • Cloud platform (such as AWS/Azure) experience.
  • Microservices/SOA.
  • RESTful API design.
  • Domain Driven design.
  • Deployment tools & techniques.
  • Experience developing distributed systems, using queue based messaging.
  • Experience developing high scale, transactional systems.

Salary highly negotiable, depending on experience.
