"Device not certified" and DSTV Now app

I recently purchased a cheap Dixon (Cash Crusader house brand) 10" tablet. I can access the Google Play store and install apps without issue.

Installed the DSTV Now app and could watch live TV, Catch Up, etc.

Next time I opened the DSTV Now app and tried to watch live TV, it said the device was not certified and I could not watch live TV!

Sure enough, the device is not certified by Google, but I can still download from the Play store! I found the tablet's Google Service Framework ID and registered it with Google, but still the DSTV Now app won't play live TV.

Any suggestions?

No idea if it'll work but give the parallel space app a try.

yeah, just install a previous version of the app. you can find them by googling

Thanks for the replies.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled the DSTV Now app. Upon reinstalling it worked. Closed the app, opened it again and no go. :-(
