SO after all my complaints on mybb, finally someone from neotel phoned me. I explained my problem for the 100th time and this guy said he would do something about it. My RSSI was around 63 and my EC/IO was below 1.6 constantly which basically meant I had an amazingly good connection.

So this guy tells me my slow speeds can only be explained by a "faulty" prime phone. So I tell him it sometime works and sometimes doesn't, and In my opinion there is something wrong with the tower. So this guy orders me a device replacement anyway. So I go along with it. The phone call was yesterday.

So today at around 10 AM this dude knoks on my door saying he's got my new phone. Now im plesently surprised because I was expecting to wait a few days. I sign all the papers, and get my little paws on the new phone. Plug it into the antenna and RSSI seems ok so I'm happy. Then my Dovado router shoots an error at me saying there is something wrong. So I plug the phone into my PC, start up the prime manager, stick in my username and password and BAM error 691 "Unknown error". So now I figure I should phone the tech dept. Amazingly the phone option on the phone works. I dial 0800333636 like normal but there is so much interfearence I cant even hear the bot. So now my previous device has been replaced with a new device that not only cant connect to the internet, but cant make or take phone calls properly either!!! WTF?!

So I use my cellphone to call the techs, after 20mins of waiting I get through to the guy, and we do the usual "Have you tried turning it off and on again". Same error. He resets the password. Same error. We compare barcodes and he resets the password again. Same error. Then he says he will go work on it and phone me back later.

Im still waiting.

ouch! If i were u id drive to their office with the fone and make them test it there.

Funny how I post this and someone that actually knows what he is doing in the tech department phones me. Turns out that the neotel IMSI number for my new phone didnt match theirs on the database. Problem fixed. I will post my speeds soon.

Just putting it out there, if you get a replacemrnt, make sure that their IMSI number matches yours, else you will have to go through the same painful precess as me :D
