Denon receiver replacement

Hi,

The background...

I currently have a Denon AVR1612 receiver which is 4 - 5 years old, HDMI ports repaired twice and generally works well.

I am looking to replace it with a Denon X1200W which I have found a good deal on, the current Denon seems to have an intermittent problem with DSTV fixed audio - dolby that it won't play any sound until you reboot Explora or cycle the receiver.

Primary use the receiver for DSTV and an ATV4 running Plex

My question is other than the intermittent issue I have and with all of the great new features on the X1200 if my primary purpose for using it is DSTV and the ATV4 streaming Plex I am not sure if it is worth the expense because DSTV and Plex wouldn't really make 'more' use of the additional features, the output of the old and new receiver is similar so it would be more a like for like upgrade

....I am trying to justify the upgrade here so if anyone has anything to add pls do :)

Thanks

I recently upgraded from a 2310 to an X3200 (thank you lightning and insurance)

The new features are very nice, especially the internet radio streaming and multiple zone multiple source stuff, if you'll have a use for it.
