What to do? This has never happened before. Installation was done last year October. Got 4 batteries and only one battery shows some 50% power. Deye shows 0% battery charge.

I have electricity - I suppose via Eskom. Beeping stopped for 5 minutes and now again started.

Too late to call up provider.

Switch to Eskom only and switch off inverter - your batteries ran flat

What make of batteries and have you been using work mode?

Thanks. I am sure I was told about this but can't figure out how. There is some DC switch on inverter. Do I switch it off and then push the red inverter button out ?

There should be a switch labelled "Eskom" / "Inverter" in one of your boxes installed with the system. It should be in the "Inverter" position at present; switch it over to "Eskom" - I'll post a picture if you're not sure

Here you go - from @Dan C post in another thread

Switch that lever to "Eskom" - that wil bypass the inverter and you can switch it (the inverter) off.

Sounds like your batteries drained themselves for some reason.

Thanks for helping. It seems it is charging and now sitting at 4%. Beep continues

No Eskom anywhere. Maybe I need to flip to Mains selected ?

You don't need to touch the DC switch on the inverter - the 'soft' button (silver one with a surrounding LED) is all you need to press

Eish, why these guys label things so opaquely - I'm guessing (with a fairly high level of confidence ) that it's the one that is labelled "Backup Selected" - you need to push that one down to "Mains Selected" position - that will bypass the inverter (most probably) - there will be a momentary 'blip' when you move that lever down.

Hang ten - here is the proper procedure to shutdown your inverter

Edit: Google your Deye model and it will give you the proper steps to isolate the inverter properly

It will include disconnecting the big fuses and switching off the DC input (that's from your solar panels)

Thanks for all your help, really appreciated. Beep sorted for now. My son woke up and won't sleep as he thinks it is something exciting. Hopefully, he will sleep now. LOL

Will enable beep in the morning. Switched to Mains as well. Batteries charging slowly.
It's a pleasure.

Kids are all the same - sounds like my youngest as well - any excuse to be awake

Thanks, will do. My installer owes me one visit - will remind him tomorrow as well.

It normally beeps for as long as the battery is under your battery low soc set on the inverter

So setting the soc level below current will make it quiet too
