Hi all,

As shown the green line is obviously DFA "live" line.
Phoned them and they said I must speak to SADV.

Also shown is the village where we stay. In a straight line it's about 300-400 metres away from village.
Will it be possible to install fibre there and if someone besides SADV do the installation...is it a must for the whole village or can it be done for a single residential area?DFA Line.jpg

Anything is possible . . . if you can get 100% commitment to use the service from all the owners a provider might hear your plea, otherwise you might have to subsidies the costs to get it done much quicker.

Personally seeing that DFA has a stake in SADV you probably going to find difficultly finding someone else, otherwise good luck.

None of the FTTH operators will link up a single house via the DFA network - its simply too expensive. You will need to get at least some of your neighbours interested in fibre before anything is likely to happen.

Also remember that the distance to the fibre backbone is typically measured along roads. It can be quite a mission to get permission to install fibre across the middle of land not owned by the municipality.

Think at least 50% of the village must sign up before they will pull in fibre, but not 100% sure, just ask SADV

Thank you for all the info and replies....Nah yhese people in my complex are sheeples and I heard things like "Im happy with my 4mb Wireless internet".....seriously...
