I have DG834V4. While on the subject, does anyone know if only a firmware upgrade sets them apart and is it worth doing?

I don't know if it is worth me flashing my router having heard of some of what people have gone through. Currently doesn't give me any problems, other than those that are from the ISP side and others with other makes and models experience as well.
