I managed to use a static ip address last night when dialing into Sentech. I was quite suprised.
 
The chaps are quiet tonight. Bandwidth must be flowing a bit.

you mean you set your PPP IP to 66.18.x.x and your gateway also and it worked? If so.. that is interesting.. you may have struck gold for some people [:D]
 
I set it at 66.18.80.250 and I logged on. Checked ipconfig /all and was using the correct ip address. Could only pull it off once. After that, the dhcp server would not let me on. Tried a couple of other addresses in the range, but no luck.
