Dhlomo condemns "white madam"

It would be nice to engage with these politician's here, not their puppets, but they know we'd tear them to bits so it's never going to happen!
 
Hai shame. Envious of the white madam? His Inferiority complex suits him.
 
Are they really trying to turn compound into a racist word? Are they really trying that hard to hide the "security" part that stinks of tender corruption by changing the meaning of a common english word.

We are dealing with an expert race card user here, because that's actually a pretty decent idea...
Although they've used it so much, it has become very easy to see through.

Why can't people paste the whole article here.....makes it so much easier for people using mobile phones to just read it here instead of having to try and open up different forums and taking forever to load.....geez.

JOHANNESBURG - Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Helen Zille continues to receive criticism following her attempt to inspect President Jacob Zuma's Nkandla home in KwaZulu-Natal.

The ANC's KwaZulu-Natal regional chairman Sibongiseni Dhlomo had harsh words for the opposition leader during his speech at a regional general council held on Saturday.

He referred to Zille as a “white madam” and also described opposition parties responsible for a vote of no confidence in Zuma as “losers”.

Dhlomo told Eyewitness News he is also against the president's Nkandla home being referred to as a compound.

“To me, a compound is where a white farmer would keep all his workers in.”

Dhlomo confirmed that almost all KwaZulu-Natal branches support Zuma's campaign for a second presidential term.

The ANC will hold its elective conference in Mangaung in December.

It is not yet clear whether Zuma will be challenged by his deputy Kgalema Motlanthe.

Meanwhile, members of the South African Communist Party (SACP) earlier gathered in Nkandla to protest against the lack of rural development in the area.

The group also called for transparency regarding upgrades to Zuma's home in Nkandla.

The upgrade is estimated at over R200 million.

Earlier this week, Zuma addressed the issue in Parliament.

He said his family was paying for the renovations not the government.

Meanwhile, the president has been criticised for the Umlalazi-Nkandla Smart Growth Centre project, which has been dubbed “Zumaville”.

The public protector is currently investigating the project and the development of Zuma’s home separately.

The word compound does have a historical meaning in South Africa that makes it an inappropriate word to use in this context. IMO. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_(migrant_labour)
 
What I find immature and unprofessional is how public officials holding high office call opposition politicians "white madams" and "losers". That is simply no way for a high ranking public official to behave.

Exactly. I grew up in Apartheid South Africa and was very affronted when I suddenly had to go to school with 'garden boys' in the UK. When I returned to SA two years later, those 'garden boys' were my best friends and I even left my massive collection of comics to one of them. Now it's 'gardener' and it grates me to hear grown men calling other grown men 'garden boy'.

Where do these morons get off referring to white women as 'madams'? If it weren't for the 'madams' millions of black women all over the country would be without jobs. What do you call your boss? Sir? I'm pretty sure you do. It's a sign of respect.

Personally, I take umbrage to being called 'sir' by a black man, that doesn't work for me, especially when he is older than me. I normally just make a joke of it and tell him I should be calling him 'sir'.

I hold my president to a certain standard. Not a difficult one to meet, it just involves integrity and respect for the law.

The tool in office now does not meet that standard. He brings the respectable office of president into disrepute.

I was going to say something, then I realized this whole forum is under scrutiny by the not-so-secret-secret-police.

I had high hopes for the douche, against my better judgement, when he took office. All that spewing about being 'tough on corruption' - maybe, just maybe, it takes a corrupt bastage to root out the others?

That worked out well. :p

If you are protected by parliamentary priviledge you can say basically whatever you like in parliament, however immature and stupid it may seem
