Diamatrix - Ping and Tracert

Good day guys.

We have been experiencing very slow speeds on our website, that is hosted with Diamatrix.

Ive emailed about this, and also found out, that they are blocking Ping and Tracert.

Apparently they implemented this "BLOCK" about 3 to 4 months ago.

Support says they have set their servers to drop ICMP Packets.

Can someone please explain to me why they would block ICMP Packets? What security measure does this entail?

Anyone else experiencing "slow hosting" with Diamatrix the last few months?

Have no problem with diamatrix. People block icmp as a security measure (helps against service dos and device discovery from hackers). Pretty normal.
