Did Andre de Ruyter make the right call by leaving Eskom with immediate effect?

Andre de Ruyter probably had no choice but to leave with immediate effect after his recent TV interview. He is now likely being threatened by the Government with his pension money too. I do not think it was his call to make in any event considering events of the past 3 days.

Oh the lols...

How would they threaten him with his pension money?

In my view, if I had to give an opinion of circumstance. I believe that a lot of uncomfortable 'things' happened in and around Eskom's C-suite with a lot of state interference, both through the act and means of "interventions". De Ruyter was clearly on the hinge of paranoia, but that wasn’t without cause. He chose the exit route for the sake of his health and perhaps for checking his morality.

I just won’t be surprised if the state is rooted as a shadow director of Eskom, and if there must be strong adherence to cadre law. How else is corruption enabled at Eskom? Again, if not state capture, this is enterprise capture, and Eskom being a state-owned enterprise there is not any difference. State capture isn't over; it is just redefined by the ANC.

De Ruyter made the right choice, only if his heavily redacted whistleblowing rings true. I just hope that our 'green' energy partners are awake, and if they are, that they should think again before feeding the trough. This isn't worth the woo.

A load of people, including some members here, will celebrate De Ruyter's immediate departure from this corrupt enterprise. May your favourite cadre be deployed to Eskom.

Top marks for the car dealer in witbank for his innovative product to enable dodging the lifestyle audit.

1) Nersa enables corruption by their approval for Eskom increases. Civil society\Afriforum are probably exploring using this avenue to make live uncomfortable for a lot of people and maybe there might even be some consequences for those enablers.
2) Gwede might move on sooner than we think.

I thank Andre de Ruyter for his service.

I thought the question would be did he make the right call by giving the tell-all interview. Leaving with immediate effect was not his decision to make, he was fired with immediate effect because of his interview.
