Yep, that's exactly what I have been thinking - anyone seriously expecting really truthful responses from Telkomonopoly at the end of the Public Hearings is surely an escapee from a mental institution!

Telkomonopoly only want the last word as well so that's what people remember - their chance to rationalise away all the opinions & evidence presented at the Public Hearings!

But, methinks Telkomonopoly will attempt to do that behind the scenes before the ICASA recommendations are finalised, so best that they spew forth the lies in public, and we then know how to counteract the Telkomonopoly bamboozlement of ICASA councillors .

If ever there was a company which used its resources in the incorrect area - this could be dertemined as intelligent - but why not just drop the prices

I woudn't be happy with just a drop in prices. I would like to see an improvement in the services as well.

Maybe more specific offerings geared towards using the net for different applications. Had a mate who wanted to use my ADSL to develop on an overseas SAP system. Couldn't be done due to the pathetic latency.

This is how it works - the prices get dropped and lots of people get it. Then lots of people complain about the service not working. Then Telkom get forced to fix it.

Yeah, that's what I think too. Oh well, from that e-mail it seems Telkom can't respond to any question without going to their Ivory tower and going to the big book of lies, and probably only then if "Sizwe says it's OK to say that"

Sizwe seems to say it's OK to shaft most of SA as well.
