After changing my netgear dg834g v3 to bridge - (modem only) via http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?next_file=mode.htm - it now refuses to handle a connection, line syncs but it keeps saying lcp down when trying to establish a connection , logged 5 faults with telkom, is it the router or the line thats buggered?

Did you try to manually reset it via the button at the back?

Just keep in mind this will return it to its default settings of course.

Yeah, reset it. Trial and error until you find what works.

I'm new with this so excuse me if I understood your problem incorrectly.
How are you connecting after you set the dg834g to Modem only? When in bridge mode the dg834g won't connect for you anymore, you have to do that with your computer.

yeah if you set it to modem only (bridged mode) you have to dial out from your computer
