So, i have been looking at my logs on my bandwidth monitor,

traffic30042012.jpg

I noted that since the 28/04/2012 my speeds during midnight have increased, i usually average download speeds of 120KB but from my logs it appears i have been averaging 200KB, my 3Gig worth of downloads were finished by 05:00 today and this usually how much i get from midnight to morning.

Anyone else with a bandwidth monitor noticed the same?

My speeds suck big time. It takes long to open web pages if they are not cashed. The download speeds sucks, and it take's up to an hour to download a 100MB file. I stay in waverly and my signal is 100%

maybe it was an early Christmas or i should not have spoken too soon as since then no more higher speeds

Its all the congestion I tell you, ever since those massive data deals have been introduced My line speed has been appalling. Torrents can for some reason get 100kb/s max, but it constantly drops, direct downloads fail sometimes...and online gaming?..dont even go there...

Yeah in all honesty they upgraded their packages so we get more bandwidth for less, but at the same time, they have no network to really support this, problem is out of the 100% customer base only a few are getting serious problems and for those sorry you are screwed and I would strongly recommend switching to another ISP.

Playing online games is a no go my kids can't even play a stupid game like minecraft online because the lag just kills the game,, on a telkom 512MB you can play that same game same server without any lag, so Iburst in my conclusion has been the most pathetic service provider to ever set foot in South Africa they even worse than Telkom, I want to kick myself every single day for canceling my telkom account and if it weren't for that stupid mandatory phone line rental you are force to pay I would have been back at telkom years ago.

The question is what other wireless service providers are out there currently that are any better than Iburst

Try 8ta... Or Amobia.. I heard they're pretty decent too!

Cape Town and Durban will gain extra capacity and a direct fibre route internationally. Cape Town and Durban's capacity will be allocated back into the Gauteng pool.
This should be completed a couple of weeks into next month.
