Ok, so if you live in Pretoria east, you would know that we had some gruesome lightning showers Friday afternoon, at about 4:45.

So, today, when I wanted to watch movies through my XBOX360, it didn't come on!!! The XBOX was connected to my LCD VIA the HDMI port, so I think the HDMI port was damaged, because the XBOX does come on when using the Component output. BUT... another thing I noticed was that my LAN port doesn't work anymore, and the LAN cable was connected to the ADSL Router when the lightning strucked.

So my concluding is that it must have been the lightning because all the ports(HDMI,LAN) that had cables in them, doesn't work anymore :(

Any help... Do you think the insurance would pay out, or what can I do?

Sorry to hear, I'm sure insurance would cover if under all risks and you provide a damage assessment.
