Why is there no meadia streamers on reputable sites anymore?

From Mygica to Remix Mini and even Roku seem to have dissapeared locally. Sure you can get them on some dodgy sites but people like Takealot either took them off the lists or are stayng on Stock out for more than a month now.

Don't tell me people don't buy them anymore as I have colleagues that saw my set-up and want a simular device on their TV's.

The retailers are probably waiting to see how the Netflix region blocking thing turns out.

Takealot certainly MC's doing but most people sold out towards Xmas and then the rate wen't mad, lots still available on BoB.

I don't think it has much to do with Netflix. They saw what happened to AVSupply - the bullies made an example of him.

They might not want to take the risk.

The only way that they could get around it is by marketing and advertising the devices very carefully. In other words, no mention of streaming at all. Just plays local content from your hard drive. How you get that content is up to you.

Multichoice has a large stake in Takealot so that probably explains why they're not selling Rokus any longer.

I ment ones that people trust, like AVSupply, Takealot and so on. Found my awnser re AVSupplie's "Pirate box" + Google. Also forgot about Bid or buy and see they had some so recomended to my colleague to go look there.
