I think my phone may be bricked…
This morning I tried to turn on Wi Fi and it wouldn’t initialize, it just said 'turning on' in the wifi menu. So I thought ok cool, I’ll just turn my phone off and then reboot and it should work..
So I turned my phone off, waited for the back and menu lights (notification lights as some call it) to go off, and then restarted.
It then starts up till the galaxy S logo, which just loops. After 30 seconds odd, the phone vibrates once, then after another minute it vibrates 3 times in quick succession. At this stage the screen turns off. So I push the home button, and the notification lights light up, but not the screen. Thereafter it vibrates once after about a minute, then 3 times after another minute and so on…
I then took the battery out (power button didn’t turn it off), and tried again, same story.
Took the battery out again, boot into recovery 3e (I’m running froyo), and reboot from recovery, same story.
Is the phone bricked, and if so, how do I recover?
Some info on the phone:
• Samsung Galaxy S GT i9000
• Official Froyo 2.2.1 XXJPX via Kies registry hack
• And I was using the gingerbread launcher app from the android market, but its never given issues, and I’ve been using it for nearly a month and a half..
Thanks everyone, appreciate any help you can share
