Different speeds on different SIMs

I'm having a bit of a dilemma, I have two sim cards with both data loaded and when I connect to the internet the other one is faster then the other one. So what can cause this problem?

Are they both pre-paid or contract or different? Is the one SIM consistently faster than the other? What IP addresses are you assigned?

Currently on a 197 IP I sometimes do get 41 IPs but rarely, my contract SIM is slower than my Pre-Paid :erm: .

I tested the SIMS in two different modems (Huawei E372 and Vodafone K3565-Z) and results were exactly the same.

I would get up to 8Mbps down on the prepaid SIM and only 0.7Mbps on my contract SIM. This is driving me crazy.

Are you suggesting that OP's fast SIM is a mistake and it is somehow bypassing the throttling?

I have two sim cards from Cell C. Both are voice with data, both are contract numbers.

They are in different phones, but its staggering how differently they perform.

At the moment, the one in the older phone is showing H+ signal quality. The card in the S3 is showing G signal quality. They are sitting right next to each other.

Further i notice the differences a lot when i receive emails one my one gmail account (which is setup on both phones)

The phones hardware and radios will of course make a difference, but i didnt think to the extent that signal quality would register so differently.
