Difficult job interview questions asked by technology companies

If a company asks you these type of inane questions in an interview they have no respect for their time and most of all yours. Walk away.

Walk away from Google, Microsoft, etc etc. showing them that you know how to code/whatever proofs nothing. Thinking outside the box does. They obviously don't want scientific answers.

I've been to a few interviews where they ask these sorts of questions. They usually thrown in a couple of them inbetween the usual interview questions. You'd be surprised that it actually helps lighten the mood and makes the interview seem way less mundane and routine...

These sort of questions prove nothing. They are not data in any way. They are a waste of your time and if a company already does not respect your time in an interview then working for them is going to be hell. I really don't care what their name is.
 
I would rather have a candidate that can answer these type of questions in a creative and sensible manner and then train them to do what they need to do than a candidate that can't even begin to answer or understand the question but can do the job already.

When a new opportunity or problem arises one will take initiative while the other will just do what they we're appointed to do.
 
In the end, how you handle stress(GMAT testing env does that haha) in an unfamiliar environment with a problem you don't ordinarily have a background for tells a lot about how you will do vs on the job things (usually such a question round is done after you have already passed the technical skills stuff).
 
Tough question from Cybersmart; come on, that one about the parking space is there to lighten the mood and relax you, not so?

If you fail that question, you can atleast still become president.
 
Interview panel from that stock pic look like they need a good crap before they can even think of creative/humurous questions to ask.
