I have used DigiChilli, Screamer, Afrihost and I hate to admit it but yes even Telkoms "Do broadband".
I am using DigiChilli at the moment on the 224kbs package. For the most part they have been reasonable. My download speed sometimes does drop to laughable speeds like 2kbs. No Im not kidding. Then within a few minutes its usually running ok again. I left screamer because they couldn't take on anymore clients when i wanted to re-apply and I couldn't wait. I work from home and can't do without internet.
Anyways I've read lot of post about slow speeds and bad service from these companies but from personal experience they were both more than willing to help when I had a query or problem. Yes, from time to time their services did g down but no company I know of is perfect.
Anyways they are the companies that actually started the ball rolling with the uncapped internet and not MWEB although I am thankful to MWEB for dropping the prices so drastically. So what I want to know is why are they not responding at all. I haven't seen any mention anywhere that they are going to compete with MWEB. Them being the "pioneers" of uncapped internet I thought they would be first in line to compete. I hope they do. Anyone hear anything from them at all?
