I have a question, DIGINET has a steep initial setup fee of close on R10K (R6000 router and R2000 odd setup) but there after you pay only R1700 for a 64Kb/s (512kbps) of digital bandwidth which is far more reliable than adsl and is uncontended.

Uncapped offerings these days you pay R1700 odd for a contended and heavily shaped and very unreiable connection at 512kbps, plus R480 line rental and the pain in the a$$ R94 voice line.

Surely DIGINET is now for bussiness's far mor feesable than ADSL - uncapped (or even high cap accounts now)?

youve got something wrong...the line alone (64kbit or 8kbyte) is R1800 per month...and theres no bandwidth....64kBIT no byte int bandwidth to fill that line (CIR) will cost another R9000 per month at retail pricing

bottom line is you are quoting only the line price and its 64kBIT not kByte

AFAIK R1700+- is for the line rental alone and it is for 64kbps. You will need to pay the a provider for access and this can be contended, but ratio is usually fairly low eg 10:1

10:1 is worst case on diginet most will sell at about 3:1 or 4:1 but the real apeal of diginet is 1:1 CIR

hmmm, how wrong I was! Well thanks for clearing that up for me.... it just was not making sense.
