Diginet

LOL, so diginet does not help when it comes to major cable theft

Back to 3g for now :(
Ouch.

I must actually find out what my work uses....I don't recall it ever being down. Some kind of IS fibre I think...feels kinda sluggish though so not sure.

Dude: Contact WASPA www.waspa.org.za and see if they can put you in contact with a Wireless Provider for your area.

Also contact EOH-NS and see if they can give you some kind of connectivity that is available in your area (011 266 4000).

Have tried that.
No Line of sight with anything except satellite.

Anyway, been working since last week and back to stable as a rock.

Well fibre has less value and less likely to be stolen if they know it's fibre.

They maliciously damage any fibre installed in this neighbourhood till it is replaced by copper then they steal the copper.

LOL...who replaces fibre with copper in the first place, what a joke if true

Sorry, but thats fsckall sense. If they are going to steal it or damage it what difference does it make? Telkom are still going to have to replace it and I think fibre is a lot cheaper than copper cabling so why would you put copper back in the ground?
