evening all. i am using the trial version of digital media converter and cannot seem to get the full version on the web so now i am looking to buy the package from the shops. does anyone know where i can start looking for prices and shops here in cape town.

Why not use a free alternative?

Super from Erightsoft.com
MpegStreamClip http://www.squared5.com/
AutoGK or Gordian Knot
VirtualDubMod
FFMpeg

Goto vcdhelp.com and look at their long list of downloadable commercial, freeware
and opensource programs, they give a nice review for each app. IMTOO's MpegEncoder
is also nice but costs. Alternatively QuickTimePro may be of benefit.

I found that the free tools are at least as good as the commercial stuff
especially the dodgy commercial stuff where a company has written a frontend application to run opensource programs to do the job in the background and want $40-60 for it.

yeah it pisses me off that you wanna scan your computer for viruses and its free but when they find a virus you have to pay to get rid of them. CORRUPTION.

30 day trial versions are free and they do remove viruses :).
Norton
McAfee
Kaspersky
AVast
NOD
etc
all offer free 30 day trials :). By the time you go down the whole
list it'll probably be possible to start again at the beginning :).

i do have some anti-virus programs that i use but i have been caught before with online virus scans or is it scams.ha ha.
