Digital TV misstep could cost SA

ahahahaa.... this place would be as funny as a bunch of hilarious clowns and buffoons in a big circus, if it wasn't real life. :D

John Bigeni was asked by the department to present the European standard at the symposium, and he flew in from Australia to make his presentation. DOC deputy director general Themba Phiri interrupted him halfway through his speech, telling him his time was up.
Sounds like the DoC already made up their minds. The symposium was just window dressing to make it look like they are looking at all sides.

This digital TV migration could be such a good thing. If I understand it correctly, the US made the frequency bands that was used by analogue TV transmitters available for other uses, so the Cellular Operators have more frequency to deploy their services. These guys are now stalling and keeping this kind of inovation behind. tsk tsk tsk.
