I am experiencing what seems to be either a diminishing speed or a enhanced shaping type of problem. I have a 512Kb ADSL line with Mweb as my ISP.
Over the last few months my ADSL has been getting slower and slower, I play Everquest and until a few months ago it was fine with little lag. But these days I can't play due to the extreme lag. Not justy everquest lags, even websites loads slower than my dialup. How is this possible?
The only thing that is half decent is when I download a big file, the speed then is very fast (sustained not initial). Though I only download big files once in a while (love the cap *sigh*)
I am a few blocks away from the exchance in my area so I can only assume the shaping is getting out of hand. Any ideas on how I may alleviate these delays? It is getting rediculous to try and load websites at speeds slower than a dialup.
