I went to Fourways to the flagship Leroy Merlin store to get these... And nothing.

I see Builders do have a few - but just wondering if there a decent brand? Someone told me those cheap ones don't always work?

E27 and just standard bulb

Why would that be the Flagship? Greenstone and Little Falls have been open far longer

A flagship store has nothing to with age

I find the Ellies bulbs are pretty solid and offer higher lumens than most.

Osram just buzzes and whines.

This is not the size you want, but this brand is not too expensive and these work great as dimmable led bulbs:

4 Watt E14 Golf Ball in Warm White

That takealot page is light on detail, I found out they dimmable by finding one of my working ones in the house and noticed its the same bulb.

What I have found, if the bulb on https://brightstarlighting.co.za/ states non-dimmable, it is. When it doesn't state anything about dimming, there is a good chance it can dim but is not advertised as dimmable.

So for E27 this one has a chance: https://www.takealot.com/4-watt-e27-golf-ball-in-warm-white/PLID55963286
See: https://brightstarlighting.co.za/product/bulb-led-121-bulb-led-122/
Another option is: https://www.glolighting.co.za/brightstar-bulb-led-246-8w-led-a60-filament-bulb.html

For GU10 this is dimmable: https://www.takealot.com/5-watt-dimmable-gu10-warm-white-bulb/PLID55963300

For A60 bayonette look at https://www.takealot.com/8-watt-b22-led-fillament-a60-dimmable-bulb-3000k/PLID70476227

In my expereince I have found flickering and/or buzzing comes from cheap kak dimmers. And not the lights
