Direct Deals - Anyone bought from them?

Hi everyone.

Has anyone bought any TVs from directdeals.co.za? Want to make sure they’re legit.
Would appreciate some opinions.

Always look at the T&C's for obvious things, especially returns. This company has a blanket contravention of the CPA Section 56. Although the CPA specifies 6 months, this company just says

usually 12 months from date of purchase and is a repair warranty, unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer.

Be careful. If they insist that they don't mean what is on their site, get it in writing from them.

If the Products are found to be defective during the warranty period, .....
the manufacturer/supplier, shall, at its sole discretion;
(a) repair or replace the failed, unsafe or defective Product; or
(b) refund you the price paid for it.

and the supplier must, at the direction of the consumer, either— (a) repair or replace the failed, unsafe or defective goods; or (b) refund to the consumer the price paid by the consumer, for the goods

4. The cost for collection of Products will be quoted Per Collection Per Location.

I wouldn't say that they are not legit, but their returns policy is not right.

It should read something like this:

within 6 months after delivery ..... we will at your choice repair or replace the product, or refund you if that is your preference

I wouldn't say that they are not legit, but their returns policy is not right.

Seems like their return policy is a tiny bit iffy. I am going to contact LG tomorrow to see if they’ll honour their warranty as an authorised reseller. If I have any problems I’d assume it’s safe to go straight to LG then.

It does seem so, I have contacted them and they state that the warranty is provided through LG SA.

So they provide no customer support then. I would stay away from them.
