Hello all, I need some advice please.

I am currently studying a diploma in information technology at Damelin in Durban. It is three years to complete, I need to know:

1) Can I study a Bachelor of technology for one year after I have completed the diploma?

2) What would be the best degree after I have completed studying the Bachelor of technology degree?

TIA

I'm interested in going further without the need of maths, like Computer Science. I would like to concentrate more on the field of information technology that centres more with development

Then you need to look for BSc Information Technology, there is logic based maths in these courses.

Richfield graduate institution and CTI offer this course.

Also look at this from varsity college www.varsitycollege.co.za/programmes/full-time/bachelor-of-technology-information

Do not go to CTI.
Secondly no, you can't do Btech as it won't exist anymore. This is the last year of Btech as government wishes to change it to advanced and post graduate diploma, so it will be 3 years I think, lecturers weren't clear on it by my institution, but luckily I got in for Btech this year.

May I ask why not to go to Cti Johnatan56?

So, if they doing away with the BTech degree, do I have to do another three years after completing my Diploma?

A simple Google:

Their degree isn't even recognized/valid anymore. It might even harm your chances putting it on your CV. If you succeed after studying at CTI, it's in spite of CTI and not because of it.

Yes, the question is, do you need to? A diploma is more than enough to get a foot into the industry, self-motivation/studying will be your biggest asset.
