Getting a proper internet connection soon. In the next month I'm going to downgrade my DSTV from Premium with PVR to the R99pm one, just for e.g. BBC news and a couple things. I'd like to drop the PVR subscription as well since it's pointless paying to record a couple channels. I've got a bunch of stuff stored on there already. Will I be able to watch the already-recorded content once PVR is turned off?

Don't care much, will be all over showmax/netflix etc. Just wondering if I'll have something to watch between 1 Dec and whenever the fibre is lit up.

This will be possible, we went the whole hog and cancelled our DSTV, still able to watch our store recordings.

I'm with Drifter here. Don't think you'd be able to watch stored content following the month your subscription has ended.

Copy it to another hard drive. Don't ask me how, but one of my colleagues used to do that and bring me some content he recorded off DStv back in the day - mostly rugby matches.

Thanks all. Don't care that much and we'll be streaming our heads off. Probably a good idea to have some peace and quiet before the fibre is lit up :)
