Disabling proxy

I'm using a Samsung U-700 to connect to the internet. My problem is that I can't edit the connection settings on my phone to disable the proxy. I have changed the WAP settings to not use the proxy server and i have set it as my default connection, but every time i log on to the internet using my computer it still uses the proxy
