Disappearing cursor in Office 2007

Aaaargh, I I installed Office 07 yesterday, now all of a sardine I am working on a Word doc. and the cursor disappears. Gone, completely I have no idea where I am on the page? I can see the mouse pointer but just try an click somewhere on the page and …nothing, nit, zada!!
Any help out here in cyberspace perhaps?

Might I suggest a temp workaround of some sorts, not a fix.

Control panel/Mouse select the "pointer options tab" and tick "Show location of pointer when I press CTRL key". Like I said not a fix but at least you'll know where the pointer is for a moment or so.

Thanks but no luck, its the cursor that left the building, the pointer is still inside!

And whats up with Office 2007 drinking all my RAM? Did they develop this bad boy in an Iraqi desert? Stupid Microsoft, saving money.

Yeah, caching data in RAM to improve application performance is really a bad thing

Nope I'm using XP, trolled microflop site for info but found nothing that can help.
