Disappearing data on 3g router contract

I'm experiencing a problem which seems to be impossible to remedy with Vodacom.

I've had a 3g data only contract with router for many years which I only use as a backup when Fiber is down.

Suddenly since last month, as soon as I connect the router, my full 2gb data allocation disappears within 20 minutes. I receive a bunch of sms notifications in close succession as the data is running out.

I am an IT professional so I am 100% sure that nothing on the laptop is causing the data leak: no malware, no windows updates, no app updates etc. All my settings are heavily customized and I've checked logs.

I have contacted Vodacom and they opened a ticket to investigate. 5 days later they responded with a very generic from the manual response, with a log file that contains absolutely no detail apart from the bandwidth usage. In the email they say the data use is from iTunes, Netflix and Showmax, neither of which I use or are installed on the device.

Since then I'm up against a brick wall. You cant get anyone to hear you. They aren't interested in helping me.

What is the next step? Cancel I suppose.
