I stayed in Europe a little last year, in that time I used the EU version of Geforce Now (the service where they stream a game to your laptop or phone from a gaming server instead of needing a gaming PC), and honestly it was awesome. They had a massive free tier where I could play as much as I wanted without needing to pay, only downside was the queue which took about an hour but it meant I got to play for 2-4 hours. Then the paid version which was readily available was even better. Almost no queue and very long gaming sessions.

The South African one managed by Rain is horrible. Its still Geforce Now, but its in partnership with Rain in their datacenter and you still need to be a part of Rain to get it. Which isnt a massive hurdle, just annoying since Geforce now was best on Fibre.

But the queue, I need to join a waitlist to be able to BUY geforce now. I joined the waitlist over 2 months ago and I havent heard a thing. Whats the point in the system if no one can buy it?

100%, I had an issue where their salesman promised me it was a month to month payment plan he had given me and that I would be sent a SMS with a payment link each month. They ended up billing me for 2 months in addition to the month I needed while our fibre was down. I phoned their support and I got put through to some call center in India with a rep who actually laughed at me each time I explained the situation and wanted a refund and just said "we dont do refunds", no matter how much I told him its illegal to bill me because the sales rep told me it was month to month and he was like "oh well speak to my manager then".

Eventually I got my refunds by dragging them all over various review boards.

We don't have 4080 tier like Nvidia's native offering but it is far, far from horrible. I get 2ms to the server, no queues and 4k60 or 1440p120 with the ultra tier is amazing.

Just need an account with them, don't need to use their mobile offerings to make use of GFN as i and many other use Geforce now with a fibre connection.

Apart from their dogwater communication, that's the one thing I can fault them on when it comes to GeForce Now. That waiting list doesn't even function as a proper waiting list as i've had my friends get priority slots quicker than some people who have been waiting on this forum since beta.
Best is to just keep on calling in to see if they have a slot open as they'll just contact you when they feel like it.

Wish it was possible to get Ultra :(

Okay its cool that you dont need a Rain router, I was told I would need to use the Rain network to use GFN but glad its not the case.

I wasnt complaining about queues onto GFN to play, rather queue to be able to buy it. But thank you for explaining :)

To anyone still here, please, your assistance would be appreciated as I face an issue, I’m taken to Rains page every time I attempt to proceed with GeForce Now. I have an account with them but my fibre is through MWeb. What is the way forward as I’m going circles with Rain as their site has no indication to GeForce.💭
