DISCO !!!

The only thing Disco about that clip is that is might have been filmed in a club that had "Disco" in the name.

Alison and Dave were New Wave, and the dancing is kinda high-energy, if you're old enough to remember clubbing back in the early 80s.

Anyway, y'all want disco? Here you go...

Bloody weird that this thread just started as I have this very 2nd just finished compiling my Excel sheet of the 84 vinyls I own here at home, took an hour.
So often I am at work and see a lekker album going cheap on Bid Or Buy and then I wonder do I own it.

Now my list is in Dropbox so I can check wherever I am

This x 1000

What a voice from Alison Moyet...these were my teenage years and the best music ever. Not sure which Dave you are referring to?

The brains behind Yazoo was Vince Clark, ex Depeche Mode and synth-pop mastermind/genius/revolutionary.

He went on to do real cool stuff with Erasure, another awesome synth-pop new wave group.

Are you on Clare Tarr's mailing list? She has loads of stuff and often gets new stuff. Shout and I'll send a link.
Thanx a million but I would rather not.
This hobby is already making me bankrupt and I don't want any more carrots dangling in front of me

Eek! Fscked up my Dave Stewarts and Vince Clarkes in the rush to post that.

Upstairs at Eric's is one of my favourite albums ever, and Only You is one of my top five songs of all time.

I associate high-energy (ooh non-stop) with DISCO though the 70's were more it for some.

I totally get that.

Yeah, my disco is way more 70s, and that followed through to Disco, Funky and Beach House later.

It's quite possible I might have spent way, way too much time in nighclubs in the 80s, 90's and aughts.

Strangely enough heard Yazoo on MixFM today.
