Disconnect, disconnect and them some...

Hi every1

Wondering if anybody has the same problem I have. My connection always disconnects in the mornings... I've enabled the redial option but it never kicks in...I find that very weird. It does redial when the connection/signal is bad (e.g. in rain). Obviously IBust is disconnecting me on purpose then!

I am also certain it is a no-girlfriend-4eyes-geek-loser that disconnects me. Who else can get pleasure from disconnecting users first thing when they get to work? It always happens between 8-9 in the morning. I doubt it could be the fact that more users log in at that time. If that is the case then Iburst is extremely unstable.

So far I'm rating Iburst 0/10 for stability. It has happened every ^%%& morning for the past 8 months!

Is it just my connection or are there other ppl having the same problem?

Just by me mentoning this,murphy's law, I might just get disconnected on a daily basis, but my router has the same IP since last week. No drops, no lag issues so I dunno.But if I do start to get DC,I will hunt you down!

Then I will find that no-girlfriend-4eyes-geek-loser and kick him in the non-existent nuts!...but anyway....no doesn't happen to me, maybe happens to someone else....you in Jozi or CT or?????

Well it happens to me sometimes but i just reset my modem and router and its fixed in 30 seconds, so i dont mind.

If your router keeps the same IP it means that you havent been dropped once sinc ewhenever it is you got that IP. Your connection seems pretty good so its normal to keep an IP for a week or so. Some guys keep the same Ip for the whole month.

you get new ip on iBust when u switch modem off completely and then switch back on, only then does it negotiate new ip

Sorry for using the old thread again, but it is most appropriate here.

My connection hasn't disconnected for 2 days in a row!! It's amazing!! Too bad it took a lotta months to happen, but at least I'm smiling till it lasts. Hopefully it will stay connected coz I don't want to have my pwd changed by someone else through Iburst's security hole.

Did you ever try connecting with the ethernet port or if you were originally using that, tried using the USB instead?

Installed with USB. I tried to switch .... refer to the "Ethernet problems" thread of mine. It ended up that I couldn't connect at all! I will try again. But I'll first wait till the excitement of staying connected 24/7 is over.
