Disconnect Issue

My connection keeps dropping every few hours while downloading or surfing and doesn't automatically reconnect even though it's set to reconnect. What can I do to make it reconnect?
 
Obviously the sms that ure modem sends to neotel via vodacom/mtn via telkom is not reaching the monkey at neotel to tell him to reconnect the wire into the socket. I think u need to dish them all.

Jokes aside, its a common isue which neotel is dealing with. I suggest u call them and log a complaint. Also PM the neotel rep on these boards. Alot of people here posted that after logging a complain their disconnect issues stopped.
 
I think the NeoConnect Manager is what's preventing auto reconnect. When I run the NeoConnect connection it says the modem is in use even when disconnected from the internet. I see it dials #777, is that correct?

What about uninstalling manager (drivers will remain) and you do a normal dial up connection and set re-connect, etc under options? As I mentioned in a previous post I slipstreamed v1.9 and I just do a normal dial up instead of using that manager.
 
Thanks cryptic, that did the trick. NCM seems to 'lock' the modem/phone when it's open, hence the error when I try connecting manually.
