Disconnecting for no reason

My adsl has been "dropping" on me recently, for no reason it disconnects and I lose whatever im downloading or the webpage im working on??

I thought that ADSL was supposed to reliable...
I would expect that from dail-up

You can try bypassing the splitter and the surge protector to eliminate those as the problem.
But, after that, you're going to have to call teklom, and risk paying the callout fee's if nothing's wrong with their side.

tell me this

is your telephone plugged into the pots filter and your adsl line plugged from the wall into the modem directly.

make sure its not going through the pots filter, and make sure your phone is goin through the pots filter

also download a download manager like flashget, download acc etc then you wont loose your download

one of my phones doesnt have a pots filter, could that be it?

yes put a pots filter on it or it will keep disconnecting you
