I've been trying for a few days to upload a little 22MB file to our server, and the upload keeps disconnecting (I mean the upload breaks even without the actual Internet connection disconnecting). I never have problems like this on the ADSL line in the office. It usually dies at around 21MB or so, but it seems random-ish.

Anyone else have similar problems uploading files bigger than 20MB or so?

*EDIT* Might be ftp timeouts, going to try something here ... *EDIT2* Nope, didn't help.

Vodacom don't have an upload restriction on there network. Are you always trying to upload from the same area?

Are you using your cellphone as a modem or a usb thingy (Like a e220)

Using an LG KU380 ... but the Internet connection itself doesn't disconnect, only the upload itself, and large downloads seem fine. What do you mean 'from the same area'?

I FTP'd a couple of large (>20MB files) to a server in the US last week, didn't have any issues.
