I'm having the strangest problem recently. Whenever I upload files to the internet, my connection drops, even if it's only a small 2MB file. I uploaded a 150MB file yesterday and the connection dropped three times, when it did manage to connect, everything was ultra slow, even browsing. This is happening on all my devices, 1 x PC via ethernet, laptop and cell via WiFi. It's driving me insane. Does this sound like a Telkom or router issue?

Need more info such as iSP you use along with account type. Also post your router stats and if possible monitor for fluctuations & post that here.

When did you notice this started happening? I see you said recently :p. Are you with Telkom Internet by any chance?

Afrihost uncapped and WA capped.

ADSL Parameters Uplink Downlink
SNR Tolerance(db) 27.0 19.8
Attenuation(db) 9.0 10.5
Rate(Kbps) 4096 512

Those stats look great :).
Is your line with Afrihost? The other thing i can suggest is if your line isn't with one of these iSPs but still with Telkom, phone them on 10210 and ask for a port reset.

If there is other suggestions, the awesome forumites here will recommend them :).

Unfortunately my line is with AH. I'm saving R100pm that way, and the holding times are much shorter than Telkom's, but they never manage to resolve issues with the line :( Have done multiple port resets via AH and Telkom. I'm 500m from the DSLAM.

Oh man, you already tried that :/.

Do you experience the same upload problem when using either account {WA or AH}? What has AfriMan have to say about this, he is usually on the ball when the company is mentioned and service not up to par :D? PM him again and explain if you haven't already.

IF this occurs on both accounts, have you only tried during business hours or only after getting home? Trying to establish some kind of pattern here :)
