I'm staying in PMB and my telkom line is probably a week old. I've been using it fine till now, then all of a sudden today it starts disconnecting me from Guild Wars and Warcraft. International and Local, what could this be? could it be some router setting or is it the beast commonly known as Telkom?

Has anyone else had these problems today?

Also in PMB. Check the CD ( Carrier detect ) light on your router - if it is dropping and resyncing report it to Telkom. This is what mine has started doing recently and Telbastards keep promising to send a tech "tomorrow". They always seem to be stuffing around with things here these days.

CD light is fine, thats what confuses me so much. Telscum are bastards though, no argument there.

i've had the same prob for a few months. After 5 fault logs they finally fixed it. The problem was with the Telkom boxes at the corner of my street. The wires connecting my landline to the box was completely stripped and occasionally they would touch and disconnect my line.

I'm guessing your problem is more of a wiring fault like mine is...

Great, so I cant play games until they fix the the line. That is a ball ache of note, is it not possible that its a setting on my router or whatever?

I found the problem, I recently signed up with a new ISP and they put me on a 1 hour session until the first debit order for the account came off the account. So it should be sorted now.
