So I have been with FNB for many years and have never been able to get any of their discounts on flights.
I have 4 flights to make this month and think its finally time to try and use their system, but when booking a flight for two from Durban -> Cape Town is R6700 booked directly. With FNB its R7400?

Any idea on where to start for flight discounts?

eBucks shop --> Travel

You're not likely to see much discount unless you're maxing your eBucks level.

And even then the discount is on the flight portion, not the taxes. And the taxes are often the lions share of the price.

Will test it with a family members level 4 rewards to see what discount it gives.

Ebucks currently is inflating the prices (international) so much that even with the 40% discount it makes no sense. Would be a better deal to just sell the EBucks (even at 1:1) and then use the cash to buy the flights direct.

Have to follow up and ask here: Has anyone booked via FNB recently? When I search for international flights the prices are the same as when booking with the airline directly and there is no indication of either the discount (even though the flight has an orange discount banner on) or the luggage you're allowed to take. I'm on ebucks level 5 and would really not mind the 40% discount but at this stage it feels like a trap. They really need to indicated full price and price after discount!!

You need to go through to the step before paying, only then do you see the discount. It would be much more convenient if it was shown from the start.
