Discounted DStv Stream plans for Capitec customers

Among other things, Fourie stated that Capitec’s new DStv Stream vouchers would allow customers to buy access to specific programmes or channels.

MyBroadband has learned that this was an incorrect characterisation of what the companies are launching in October.

Capitec will offer significantly discounted vouchers for specific DStv Stream packages, including DStv Premium. DStv is not launching a pay-per-view model.

Hmm.... where there's smoke there's fire? :p

They still do? So why are their subscription numbers dwindling and why are shareholders cashing out?

They, still a monopoly. Might be bankrupt. Only shareholders to sell out their shares are the DSTV Suites ... , the other shareholders are hoping that Canal+ deal goes thru, so they don't lose, monatary value, on the shares they bought. So the shareholders are the only ones who care.

When I read the headline I almost got excited. The I realise it was limp content.

They have a local monopoly on some content.

And yet at the mall i just see empty ATM's at the other banks and a thousand people queued at the Capitec ones...
And out of that thousand probably only 10 need real money which they can withdraw while paying for their shopping.
