So for some odd reason my Apple Health App's number of steps and the number of steps that gets Synchronized with my Discovery App is way off.

Apple Health will say I did 7000 steps for the day but on the Discovery App it will say I only did 2000 steps. Am I the only one experiencing this issue?

Mine look accurate

The steps Discovery shows are only the ones counted directly by the Health app (or your Apple Watch).
I see the mismatch you are talking about when I have the Polar app syncing it's data to Health. Health then shown say 12000 steps (5000 from app, 7000 from Polar) but Discovery only sees the 5000 app counted directly.

Do you have a fitbit/garmin/polar/other app/other device also sending step data to Health app?

Yes I do, so that is the issue then? Good to know.

But wouldn't the Apple Watch then also give issues, or is it calculated differently from Apple Health?

Don't have an Apple Watch, so don't know how that gets handled.
I've actually turned step sync off from Polar to Health so I can check an accurate count, as they are often different (mostly because my current Polar device is crap at step counting with strollers/trolleys etc)

Okay Cool tanx @Carsomyr I will do the same and see if the data is different.

Friend had the same, think it has to do with Discovery getting it from the servers instead maybe? So it will only request at certain times, so you need to wait for it to sync.
That's why you have until the next week Tuesday/Wednesday before points get awarded. My fitbit does that at least, think it syncs every 2nd/3rd day.

I hit 4 weeks in a row last week, not sure if I can make 5 lol. Been a lot easier with a gym membership, but I don't envy those who need basically 10k steps 6/7 + gym 300 point. I won't manage when I get to that point, already struggling at 750 due to time constraints.

What do you do at gym? 30 minutes 4 times a week at 70% hr should get you the 750 points...

I'm on 900 points, which is the max, and I usually do that in 3 days.

Problem is getting to gym, have test times so need to study/hand ins/group meetings etc.

I manage it easily some weeks by Tuesday, other times it's difficult due to schedule stuff. Not using a car currently, so steps is easy while actually getting to gym means like an hour out for commute there and back, while with car it's like 15 min. Has to do with having to jump between 3 different busses and a 2km walk.

And can't swap to the other gym as parking is an issue there, so I need to pick one or go to the more expensive package but I'm a FT student so costs are a bit of an issue and those are both "premium" gyms.
