Anyone received the 5x miles from a purchase at istore recently?
Trying to understand if it's guaranteed 5x or up to 5x and how it's calculated?

Got a USB C for my Droid phone yesterday at the pop up iStore in Sandton city. The store is closed by that's very much an iStore. Once the transaction clears I'll notify you.

They said there isn't a limit on how many miles you can earn but I'm sure once I'm earning at 1% because I'm above the threshold it'll be 5*1 instead of this 5*5.

Sadly no. You can book a flight for someone else but they count as a "guest" and don't get the discount.

edit: I am assuming the person you are booking for doesn't have Vitality.

If you are on the same vitality policy, they will get discounts according to their vitality (even money) status and not yours. If on different policies, unfortunately, no.

Sorry if I missed this somewhere in the thread, but I've noticed my credit card is now being charged a fee for "international" transactions that are charged in Rands, specifically AirBnB and Emirates. Certainly this wasn't happening in March, which was when I did a transaction with AirBnB and didn't get charged a fee. When did this start and did Discovery Bank inform their customers about it? This is pissing me off no end! Do other banks charge such a fee as well?
