Discovery CC authorisation declined fee

Just so you know.

My chipped card stopped working so I ordered a new card. Forgetting the old card was immediately blocked I tried to use it that evening at WW.

They've debited me R155.77 "authorisation declined"!!!!!!!!!!!!

So essentially if someone steals your card, you block it, and they nail you R155 every time the thief tries his luck? Doesn't sound right to me...

No that seems like the amount you tried to purchase which was declined. Just check with them.
