Discovery vs FNB

Good day,

I have job offers from both Discovery and FNB - both the same pay. Does anyone have any experience working within the IT / Development side of these companies and do you have any opinions?

I would rather work for the bank but that just me who is interested in all the high-tech processing the transactions.
 
Banks give 80% discount on their services and you get BankMed which is 1000% time better than Discovery Medical Aid. Based on the info you gave, and what I just said, I will go for the bank.

What you going to do?
 
Its a tough choice - I have an extensive banking background, so Discovery would give me the non banking experience.

FNB is extremely close to home, Discovery is in Sandton which involves the M1....

There are pros and cons, with alot of unknown...

Yeah. There is nothing more stressful than traffic, no matter how much you love your job and the company.
I work 10KM from home and I forgot what traffic is.
 
Go with FNB.
Better growth potential.
Although it does also depend on what area of I.T you specialize in.

I eventually went for FNB based on
1) Closer to home (No highway traffic)
2) More leave
3) Benefits are better

It was tough since they are both good companies...
