I have 3 cellphone contracts with Vodacom..The one contract I use, the other my wife and the third is a contract that I have signed up for and not used for more than 2 years..My wifes contract was due for an upgrade, I went into Vodacom Centurion mall and did the upgrade...The phone was working fine for +/- a week thereafter she could not make or receive any calls for about 8 days..I then had that sorted out and the phone line was then opened...I then cancelled the contract that was not in use..Just to find out that they have cancelled the incorrect contract and charged me earlt termination fee on the contract I have just upgraded...Now you tell me, who cancells a contract after one month (They have admitted to cancelling the incorrect contract)...At the end of May 2016 my account was debited with an amount of R5069 to my shock, as my contract is capped @ +/- R510 and her's R210.. I called in and was sent from pillar to post, and remember I was short of about R4500 for that month which resulted in me not having money to sustain myself for the month as I get paid on the 20th of the month..Mind you my Birthday was in June which resulted in me not having any funds on my special day...I have called into the call centre on several occasions & have also spoken to managers who also do not take any responsibility...All they say is that the do understand and that the problem is being attended to...23 day's later and I'm still waiting for MY money which was wrongfully debited to my account to be paid back...Up till today no one from Vodacom has called me...The thing is what if Vodacom does that to 100 of it's cutomers and an amount of R44 000 is in there account, who gains???
All I want is for Vodacom to credit my account with all monies owed to me and also compensate me for the trauma I had to go through of not having funds to sustain myself...Is that a big ask for the mighty Vodacom??? I have opened a contract 12 years back and have upgraded my handset ever since when it was due and that include my wifes...I don't know where to turn to anymore...Vodacom do not understand the seriousness of the situation I'm in and frankly don't seem to care...I will never upgrade with Vodacom ever in my life again and I have also advised the same to my friends & family members...Word of mouth is a very powerfull tool..Vodacom has to do the right thing and pay up...Vodacom our relationship endeth here...
